Anthony + Emily

Oh, Anthony and Emily. This day was filled with so much joy and laughter. I could literally go on forever, but we'll leave this one simple. A+E, your love is a beautiful thing, your people are some of the kindest out there, your day was certainly one for the books and a time we will not soon forget.

The Heims love you guys, we're thankful to have captured these times for you and we look forward to many many more serious Bachelor/Bachelorette discussions. <3

Aaron + Savannah. || Engagement.

Ok, let me start off by saying: I know I was born and raised in north Georgia.....HOWEVER, I lived in central Florida long enough to now consider myself a Floridian. A Floridian who is used to "winter" temps being somewhere in the mid 50's. So, I know everyone who lives up north would probably laugh at me, but this session will go down as one of the coldest I've ever shot. It was around 29-30 degrees with some serious wind gusts during our session with Aaron + Savannah at Berry College back in December. These two were such troopers and completely owned the cold the entire time. (What you can't see is me behind the camera literally wearing a long coat, hat and scarf...hahaha)

I secretly walk away from sessions with such giddiness when we really seem to connect with our couples. Aaron and Savannah are laid-back, easy to talk to, and so down to earth. We spent our (freezing cold) hour and a half exploring their wedding venue, watching deer and dreaming big dreams for their day this summer.

Cameron + Meredith || Engagement.

This one is so special to me. You see, Meredith and I were super close friends as kids up until middle school when my family decided to move to Orlando. Years went by and we hardly ever got the chance to talk and definitely didn't get to see each fast-forward 10+ years and we're back in the ATL photographing her engagement photos with her amazing new fiance' Cameron.

M + C, we love you guys like whoa and are honored to call you our friends. We are so excited for you as you start this new chapter in your lives and we CANNOT WAIT to have a front row seat at one of the most special days of your life this fall. You two are sheer perfection and we're stoked to show off these photographs.

Ps, this was supposed to be an engagement session, but really it just turned into the two of them taking the time to show us around the city we all love. These two literally gave us insight on all of the best spots in midtown and suggested some of the greatest restaurants. We walked for so long, Cameron even called an uber for the four of us to get back to where we parked. Haha! (Thanks so much guys for making us feel so welcome in our new hometown, you two are the greatest....and I truly mean that!)

Cameron + Meredith || Atlanta, Georgia.

Martin Family.

It's always a great time working with the Martins.....they have stuck by me through the years and I'm so thankful for sweet clients like them. (It also doesn't hurt that they're one of the most beautiful families out there, HELLO)

Martin Family || Oakland, Florida.

Doug + Malary

Well, my little sister is a married woman.

This was hands down the most special wedding that we've been a part of and will be for a long long time.

BUT FIRST......a little back story:

Growing up my little sister and I most definitely did not get along. We fought like cats and dogs almost every time we were in the same room together. She would play the copycat game and I would get mad, she would play the "I'm not touching you" game and I would smack her. She stole my clothes, lied about it and completely 100% drove me CRAZY. It was your typical annoying little sister life. ;) And actually, things stayed this way up until a few years ago (HA).

As the past couple of years went by, things quickly changed. After I got married and moved out we weren't living under the same roof anymore and our relationship completely shifted (almost overnight). We both realized that we actually did love each other, we just never wanted to admit it. Malary became one of my favorite people and best friends. We spent more time together after living 30 minutes a part than we did when we lived 12 feet from each other. She's hilarious, strong, a blast to hang out with, thoughtful, a great listener and overall just a solid person. I'm so beyond proud of the woman that she has become and I couldn't be more thankful for how far we've come since we were younger.

That is why this is the most special wedding we've ever done.

While Malary was working at Disney's caribbean beach resort she befriended a girl named Allondra, who just happened to have a cute twin brother....(see where this is going?) Malary and Allondra started hanging out and going to disney + movies together with said twin brother. Sure enough as time went on Malary and Doug couldn't stay away from each other, the only problem was.......both Doug AND Allondra were getting ready to head off to basic training for the US Army.

Over the next couple of months Malary and Doug wrote letters to each other several times a week counting down the days until he got a chance to come home. After a while apart, Doug got the chance to get back to Orlando for Christmas. They spent every minute they could together for those few weeks and right before the new year, Doug proposed to Malary at their favorite spot in the park... where they had spent a lot of time together before he left.

So I'm sure you already know, but things are very unpredictable when it comes to the military. They didn't know where Doug would be, when he would be there or when they'd be able to get married.....but they knew they wanted to be together. Long story short, they found out that Doug had been stationed in Hawaii (uhhhh....ALOHA!) and that he'd have to be there by the first week of May. The planning went into full swing as these two prepared for their late April wedding.

The day finally arrived and it couldn't have been more beautiful. They chose to say their vows at our grandparent's property in Powder Springs, Georgia. We spent the majority of our childhood here and have so many sweet memories of this place. It was the perfect setting for a dreamy ceremony.

Mal & Doug loved every minute of their day, went back to orlando to pack up their belongings and have just moved out to Hawaii for the next few years. It was definitely a bittersweet goodbye....I'll miss them like whoa, but I'm so excited for them as they start this crazy adventure of marriage.

Malary asked me to be a bridesmaid for her big day, but she really wanted Danny and I to shoot the wedding as well. Let me just tell you.......Danny absolutely KILLED his first time being the lead photographer for a wedding. He handled so much of the day with ease and I'm so stinkin' proud of how far he's come in such a short amount of time. A lot of experienced photographers would be too nervous to take on a wedding and he did such an incredible job!
